Firebase and OneSignal
- required external accounts

Apps with push notifications require setting up accounts in two external services: Firebase (Google) and OneSignal.

Firebase

Firebase is a platform by Google. The app only needs Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) - the service responsible for the technical delivery of notifications to Android devices. OneSignal, which manages sending the notifications, requires a connection to Firebase as the technical channel.

A Firebase account is free. Registration is done through a Google account at console.firebase.google.com.

OneSignal

OneSignal is a service for sending push notifications directly to the screens of phones belonging to people who installed the app. In the Pro and Premium packages, the app owner sends notifications themselves from the panel. Push notifications compared to email ›

A OneSignal account is free. Registration is done at onesignal.com.
